Best Place for Hip-Hop

From the 02/22/2010 edition

Club Fire/Ice

40 E. Long St., Downtown

Despite recent run-ins with the city over allegedly rowdy clientele, Club Fire and Club Ice reign supreme among "Alive" readers as the hottest spots for hip-hop. With performers like Cam'ron, Kid Capri and T-Pain taking the stage last year, the next-door Downtown venues, open Thursday through Saturday, showcases some of the finest in the industry. House and guest DJs keep the packed
crowds moving when there's not a live act, and appearances by Lil Wayne, R. Kelly and Jay Z make it a great spot for star gazing.
