Topiary Garden

480 E. Town St., Downtown

Whether you're a longtime resident or a recent transplant, chances are you're already hip to Downtown's Topiary Garden. Known primarily as the world's only existing topiary interpretation of Georges Seurat's "A Sunday on the Island Of La Grande Jatte," the Topiary Garden/Deaf School Park (as it's officially known) is certainly surreal. Located in the Discovery District at the intersection of Town and Washington, the nine-acre park's main attraction isn't its only draw. Don't forget the (rather large) goldfish-filled pond, the strategically placed "Jatte" viewing sites, outdoor concerts and the occasional soccer game.
