435 W. Nationwide Blvd., Arena District
Across the street from the new and lovely Huntington Park sits an unassuming building that resembles a small military outpost on the Baja peninsula. This is Betty's Bar, a fantastic little haunt that bested several other down-home watering holes by a nose. Opened in 1963, Betty's embodies everything great about a bare-bones dive. In short: It has cold beer on the cheap, and its menu reads "Home of the Grease Injection." If you need to grab a quick brew before the ballgame, look no further.
