What do you like about bartending?

Nothing makes me happier, because I get to make somebody smile every single day. You can't say that about every job.

I really thrive on getting to run around. It's almost like a game to me - how many people can I serve when we've got that line out the door on Saturday night?

How did you start bartending?

I started serving here seven years ago. Finally, someone left and I started behind the bar. I watched my favorite bartender of all time, Vince Cameron, who also bartends here. I think he's the best bartender in the whole wide world.

Occasionally we'll bartend together on a Saturday night. It's quite a show. It's kind of like social hour every time we're together.

What do you drink?

I'm not a shot girl. If you have to throw it down your throat, it's not worth it. I don't really do sweet things, either.

People made vodka for a reason, and I think it doesn't need to be messed with. My line is, "Just pour my drink." Give me a vodka, but don't mess with it. I want Grey Goose up.

But I do like fresh fruit. In the summertime, I'll freeze strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and use that as ice for my vodka.

So you're not a beer drinker, even though you work at a brewery?

Oh, I'm also a very big beer person. My favorite here is the 90 Shilling. It's a Scottish ale and very malty, ruby red. We used to serve it as a seasonal here, and I would beg the brewmaster to put it on a handle. We finally did it and it sells like crazy. We even bottle it now.

I'm really proud to work here ... I can go places and see our handles or see it in a supermarket. Our beer is the best in the city. For the whole staff to come up to the bar and drink a beer, our beer, every night - I think that's amazing. We've got damn good beer.

Where do you go to get a drink?

I recently discovered Cavan's. It's kind of like an Irish sports bar. They've got a nice little variety of whiskey, and they have a cute little patio.

I also like Club Diversity. Primarily I like to go where I can sit outside.
