Nobody can claim these guys aren't ambitious - in the past five years, they've toyed with electronica, released a conceptual quadruple EP and made a back-to-basics record that streamlined their sound like never before. Thus, their show next Thursday at the Newport is sure to offer a variety of sounds. Manchester Orchestra and O'Brother, fellow epic-minded mall rockers both, round out the lineup.
