After 16 long years, polar bears make a triumphant return to the Columbus Zoo today at 10 a.m. in a new exhibit featuring giant pools, digging pits, cascading streams and interactive displays. Polar Frontier will be home to twin three-year-old bears Aurora and Anana, two resident brown bears and four new arctic foxes, which are also awesome. The highlight's sure to be watching polar bears frolic through a 167,000-gallon still pool, which provides vantages from above, eye level and below. (That is, if you can't find a wild one ripping through a giant whale carcass.) Zoo admission costs $12.
