There was a collective gasp when the Ohio Art League announced it was leaving its longtime location in the Short North back in September 2009 - but everyone's breathing a whole lot easier these days. The 101-year-old nonprofit moved to the South Campus Gateway, formed strategic partnerships with both Ohio State and Port Columbus airport, and this weekend is throwing itself a huge party/fundraiser to ensure it'll be around another century.

At "One Night: Absolutely Absurd," attendees can bid on an always-impressive selection of beautiful (and affordable) art by members, while delicious treats, belly dancers and a photo booth will make the night memorable. If you can't wait until Saturday, $100 (or $175 for a couple) will get you into the Patron Preview on Friday, May 14, from 7:30-10:30 p.m. All proceeds from the auction will benefit both OAL and its members.
