But women of what age? The sundresses, jeans and tattoo-inspired tees might leave a new customer guessing.

"We like to say 16 to 60," owner Lisa Darke said of the shop's main customer base - meaning a little bit for every woman.

The store gets plenty of foot traffic from both Bexley High School and Capital University students - dresses for prom and graduation have been popular lately - plus area moms and nearby office workers, Darke said.

You'll commonly find a mother-daughter duo shopping together, she said. They'll make separate selections to try on in the dressing rooms, labeled with the letters "s," "h" and "e" instead of numbers.

Clothes aren't grouped into any sort of "department," though: casual, colorful tees hang along one wall, while pretty, detail-heavy dresses are lined up against another. True Religion and Miss Me jeans sit on a shelf next to jeggings.

Accessories are scattered in between everything, including platform foam flip-flops, lots of colorful scarves and mixed-metal jewelry. Designer-look sunglasses have also been very popular, Darke said.

Watch also for tops with burnout designs, knit wraps for layering while indoors in the summer and comfy, loose-fitting tanks and tops in neutral tones - one with an all-lace back.

"If they're coming in looking for a top to go out in, that's great. One of our favorite categories is the 'going-out top' that you can throw on with your favorite pair of jeans," she said. "But if they're coming in with, 'Help, I need outfits,' we can put it together."

The boutique opened on East Main Street in late May and had operated out of a temporary storefront on Drexel Avenue for a few months before. A grand opening celebration with prizes and giveaways takes place this weekend.
