Going to garage sales is so much a part of Jordan Kuntz's life, she's invented a verb for it: " garage-saleing."

And right now is her prime time. Neighborhood-wide sales are scheduled almost every weekend in the spring and summer, she said, although the best ones - German Village, the Short North and Grandview - have already passed.

Her two-bedroom rental, half of a house on Neil Avenue, is filled with her favorite finds. But she also uses her garage-saleing skills to help her mom, Marilyn, build inventory for Paris Flea Market, the Powell shop she's been running for two years.

The whole family has a hand in the business, which means Kuntz's apartment is decorated with a collection of repurposed gifts, like the candelabra window pane her brother made, and flea-market picks that often rotate to the store when she switches things up.
