"Bob's Bar is one of those neighborhood bars where you run into the guy down the street. They have a great beer list with their beer passport program. It's fun to blindly select a beer by pointing at the menu."
Where's your regular bar?
The St. James Tavern. I'm always looking for good beers and good bourbon and a mellow vibe. Somewhere you can have a conversation. No crazy loud music or obnoxious people.
They have a fantastic jukebox. The thing I love most is that you walk in and you always run into someone you know.
What do you drink here?
Typically, I'll choose something on tap from one of the seasonal beers. Or I'll get a bourbon - Bulleit on the rocks.
I'll drink any Bell's beer - Oberon and Two Hearted are my standbys. Bell's and Founder's are my two favorite breweries.

How far are you on your beer passport?
I actually don't keep a passport, but I would say - a conservative estimate - I'm about halfway through. I've been going there since I came to Columbus five years ago.
What's your favorite chill spot?
House Wine in Worthington is a place I go to with my girlfriends if we're just trying to have a mellow time out. It's a retail store, so you can buy bottles and drink them on their great little patio.
They have self-serve wine dispensers. You can get up to three ounces of about 15 different wines. It's a good way to try out different wines.
What's you r favorite dive bar?
Mike's is my favorite spot! It's where I take everyone who comes to Columbus and wants to go out in the Short North. I tell them we'll go, but we're ending up at Mike's. I take my dad there when he comes into town.
You never know what you're going to walk into there - sometimes it's a Gallery Hop crowd, but most of the time there's some local flavor of Downtown.
And you can get 40s to go. Where else can you do that?
