Directed by former Gucci designer Tom Ford, this movie is all about style - and has plenty of substance to back it up. Set in Los Angeles in 1962, the film follows George Falconer (Colin Firth), a professor coming to grips with the death of a lover and the meaning of his life. He delivers one of the best performances of the year with help from Julianne Moore, who plays George's confidante. It's a beautiful, must-see movie.
