The A-word gets tossed around a lot these days, but Awesomefest actually lives up to its proud title. In fact, even its beautifully redundant slogan - "A Triathlon of Awesome" - is spot-on. This year, the celebration of biking, movies and tattoos will include morning and evening rides, screenings of five "Dirty Harry" films and body art at Evolved.

This year, the celebration of biking, movies and tattoos will include morning and evening rides, screenings of five "Dirty Harry" films and body art at Evolved.

It's a long haul of awesome: Things start out at the Gateway Film Center at 8 a.m., and the final cycling session doesn't leave until around 9 p.m. Registration costs $65, and proceeds from a silent auction will benefit nonprofit charity Asia's Hope.
