I would've much preferred to see presumed Doors fan Johnny Depp play Jim Morrison than listen to him dispassionately narrate this fawning Doors documentary.

The big draw is some previously unseen footage that Doors fans will devour, including scenes from a 1969 experimental film Morrison shot in the Mojave Desert.

Unfortunately, for viewers unfamiliar with that film's existence, it comes across as amateurish "dramatic recreation" nonsense - perfectly in line with the rest of the film's laughable visual and sound effects.
