The Columbus music community sure does know how to rally around its own. Tonight's benefit show at Kobo is the second in two weeks to raise money for Nile Carpenter, the cellist in alt-rock outfit Afortiori. Carpenter broke both his arms in a car accident in August, requiring extensive surgery and a full elbow replacement. Helping to drum up some funds for Carpenter's medical bills will be the quirky local favorites the Phantods along with Dayton experimental rockers Kuan and Steamboat.
