"Yo Gabba Gabba"

I watch a fair bit of Nick Jr. with my toddler, and most of the shows can best be described as grating. But "Gabba," dreamed up by the lead singer of the Aquabats and boasting celebrity guests as varied as Amy Sedaris and The Roots, is a notable exception. I actually like it when these songs get stuck in my head.

Hendrick's Gin

With a gorgeous old-fashioned bottle and distinctive rose-petal-and-cucumber flavor, this small-batch gin from Scotland is my very favorite liquor.

Spicy Pork Noodles soup

I became addicted to this tasty stuff back when G.A. Benton wrote about it for our soup issue a couple years back. Now I head straight to the adorable (and recently remodeled!) Ying's Teahouse in Clintonville at the first signs of a cold.

Florence and the Machine

Yeah, it was the ridiculous Lady Gaga's big night at Sunday's "VMAs," but this classy redhead sang the hell out of her lovely "Dog Days Are Over."

Sweet Dee

Dee (Kaitlin Olson) is the least terrible member of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's" gang of degenerate losers. Which isn't saying much. Can't wait to see how her pregnancy storyline plays out this season.
