If Rowe's fall runway show is any indication, platform clogs are coming back in a big way.

If Rowe's fall runway show is any indication, platform clogs are coming back in a big way.

The slip-on shoes punctuated the outfits of plenty of the models sent down the runway at last week's fall collection runway show. A Jeffrey Campbell pair with checkerboard-like cutouts was featured often, along with plenty of other towering clogs, boots and booties with chunky, wooden-platform heels.

Unlike the last time you sported them, now they're worn with jeans, leggings and socks - scrunched ankle socks worn on otherwise bare legs look casually cool, and boot-cut jeans not-so-perfectly stuffed have the same effect.

Attendees to the Short North shop's runway event last Thursday also saw a rough-around-the-edges take on girly, with plenty of studs, statement necklaces and, of course, dark colors and layering for fall.

Quite a few outfits showcased the contrast between a loose, oversized item and skintight ones - like a loose-fitting, outdoorsy jacket over a short, tight sweater dress with leggings. A jean vest, harem pants and a romper also were featured.

Here, some other outfit highlights, all available at Rowe this fall:

A Parker Python top with cutouts around the neckline worn with a rolled-cuff Ali Ro jacket, gray Genetic Denim pants, Dolce Vita foldover boots, Justin Gregory studded biker gloves, a BMC Handmade beanie and red Ray-Ban aviators. Slouchy beanies were seen on several of the models.

A flowy Isabel Lu top was paired with a Calista black feather necklace, worn and weathered Genetic jean shorts, leggings and over-the-knee Dolce Vita boots. A cute and trendy way to keep shorts in your wardrobe year-round. The feather necklace added unexpected volume and texture.

A sleeveless Ali Ro print dress is fall-wearable over a T-Los Angeles cashmere turtleneck with an ADA belt and Jeffrey Campbell wedge heels. There were several abstract, hand-painted-looking patterns like this one, which was complemented by the studded belt.
