Part of Van Dyke Parks' legacy was pushing the limits of what defines "pop," melding high- and low-brow sounds from across American music in his solo works and, more prominently, arrangements for fellow eccentrics from Brian Wilson to Joanna Newsom.

Clare and the Reasons, a Brooklyn ensemble deeply influenced by Parks, will play a set of their own then serve as Parks' backing band. Seating will be cabaret style.
