Action-adventure series "Human Target" didn't build a huge following during its inaugural season, but Fox felt it deserved at least a mid-season spot this fall. Albeit, with a new showrunner - former "Chuck" writer Matthew Miller.

If you like action shows, you'll enjoy "Human Target" - it's one of the best in the genre. Just don't expect anything more than bullets and (pretty funny) one-liners.

The show is basically a bunch of badass dudes doing badass action with lots of massive guns and fisticuffs: Assassin Christopher Chance (Fox journeyman Mark Valley) decides to become a do-gooder and protect others from assassination attempts with the help of his buddies, Winston (Chi McBride) and Guerrero (Jackie Earle Haley).

This season Miller quickly dispatched with last season's cliffhanger and added two new female characters (Indira Varma, Janet Montgomery). Both decisions were slight improvements.
