If there's anything that can get me in the holiday spirit more than a Christmas light display choreographed to a Slayer song, it's a good holiday concert. This year I'll be eagerly awaiting the annual gift exchange thanks to the Columbus Symphony's Holiday Pops show.

The orchestra and its chorus are partnering with the Columbus Children’s Choir, dancers Justin Gibbs and Darien Crago, and other talented Ohioans to perform holiday classics like “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” and “Fantasia on ‘Greensleeves.’” My favorite is always “Sleigh Ride,” when one unlucky percussionist has to hit the sleigh bells over and over through the whole piece — it’s really fun to watch him get more and more bored.
