Twista has been prolific over the past two decades, but he should thank Kanye West for keeping him in the consciousness of music fans who don't dabble primarily in rap.

First Yeezy let Twista unleash in double-time on his breakthrough hit, "Slow Jamz," back when both rappers were riding Jamie Foxx's coattails. Now, in a polarizing skit at the end of West's "Blame Game," Chris Rock brags about his new watch, "Twista had this s--- on in 'The Source!'"

Of course, the rapid-tongued rapper has been active in the interim, most recently scoring a hit with "Make a Movie," his sex tape tribute with Chris Brown. That somewhat middling track is featured on "The Perfect Storm," Twista's new album to be celebrated Thursday when he performs at Icon.
