Matthew Perry is back on television doing what he does best - playing a neurotic, self-absorbed commitment-phobe. No, Chandler Bing didn't get his own show.

Instead, Perry stars as arena manager Ben, who's trying to build real relationships with people after realizing on his 40th birthday that he doesn't want to be a loner anymore.

There are a few good jokes in the pilot, and Perry is likeable. But the standout is Allison Janney, who plays Ben's pill-popping, clown-fearing boss. Another bright, if underused, character is Jorge Garcia's - yeah, Hurley! - Robert Ketterman.
