The arts organization named for literary legend James Thurber will host two six-week writing workshops for adults looking to sharpen their skills with the pen.

In "Fun, Fearless Fiction," students will learn how to create and develop scenes with instructor Stephanie Harrison, who recently edited an anthology of short stories made into films. Those who opt for "Fun, Fearless Poetry" will experiment in different forms with Nancy Kangas, a published poet who's led numerous workshops around Columbus and beyond.

Both classes will be held at 6 p.m. every Monday from March 7 through April 11. Registration costs $250, and the deadline for entry is March 2.
