The explosion of food carts of every variety - taco trucks, Skillet on-the-go - was our favorite Columbus food trend of 2010. And our very favorite of the mobile kitchens was this super-creative Japanese-style crepe cart. For a mere $5, you got amazing flavor combos like lemon pork belly or green tea tiramisu.
Sadly, a car crash damaged the Foodie Cart beyond repair, but we hear owners Kenny Kim and Misako Ohba will be back this spring, serving Japanese treats during the daytime hours out of the Mikey's Late Night Slice hut in the Short North. Can't wait to see what the new menu looks like. (Please let it include crepes.)
