The Thirsty Ear wasn't easy on the eyes, ears or stomach. Woodlands Tavern, the business that now inhabits the same space, improved the sensory experience on all fronts.
Woodlands added a wide variety of tasty bar foods courtesy of Late Night Slice. They prettied up the place and expanded into a second room, allowing the bar to simultaneously be a music venue and a casual hangout. They took advantage of one of the city's best bar patios. And they made Woodlands a home for music of all stripes, not just blues.
Those changes transformed the Grandview bar into one of this city's premier music destinations.
