Whipping up such sounds with only two members is notable. What's really impressive about this band is not their sheer volume but the way they deploy it in spurts to give their trancelike repetition maximum impact.

They'll be a tough act to follow for The Black Dahlia Murder, who headlines Wednesday's show at Ravari Room.
