If you'd rather shop for handmade crafts than make them, attend this event on Saturday co-hosted by Midwest Craft Caucus and Craftin' Outlaws, Columbus' annual cool craft bonanza. Nearly 20 vendors will set up shop in Wild Goose Creative, including local favorites Mary Moon Designs, Umbrella Girl Productions and The Candle Lab.

Entrance is free, but bring some cash to shop, play Plinko or get some gourmet hot dog grub from Rad Dog.

The Showdown also marks the glorious return of Craftin' Outlaws' popular battle of crafting wit and ingenuity, The Craft Corner Death Match. This year's judges - Jennie Scheinbach of Pattycake Bakery, Johnny DiLoretto of Fox28, Renee Parrill of Flamestitch, and yours truly - have been sharpening their craft-related comebacks. (Or at least I have: "That Captain Spock-shaped purse you made in two minutes really has me in stitches." Har har!)

If awful puns don't lure you to Summit Street on Saturday, these vendors and their items should.
