Jeni's is a sweet-treat institution thanks to a menu with a secret ingredient: unabashed creativity. How else do they come up with flavors like rhubarb and lime cardamom?

Seems the ice cream maker's knack for trying new ideas extends beyond the waffle cone - and into the parking lot.

Outside the Jeni's kitchen on quiet Michigan Avenue in Harrison West are two bright orange bike racks shaped like (tah-dah!) bikes. Another sits in the lot of the Jeni's office on Chesapeake Avenue.

While there's no real reason to hook up to the racks - unless you are one of the magical elves who make Jeni's ice cream happen - we appreciate the visual reminder that a little imagination makes everything better.
