Usually it's best not to hang out in alleys, but Macon Alley is another story. Residents along the tiny street in the heart of German Village will once again open their garages up to artists and art fans this weekend.

More than 30 artists' work will be on display, and this year visitors can actually paint a canvas themselves. There will be large, paint-by-numbers-style murals set up for folks to color. The event will also feature live music and samplings from German Village restaurants.

Tickets are $25 at the event, or tickets can be purchased in advance for $20 on the German Village Business Community website.
