Though he's based in Brooklyn now, Dane Terry honed his remarkable piano skills in Columbus, and he'll be back Tuesday to share his latest rendition of "avant one-man musical theater with a queer bent." It comes in the form of "Dane Terry and the Cold Orchestra," an album composed and performed entirely on Terry's Korg Triton keyboard.

"It sounds like the background music at a Chinese restaurant on the moon," he promised, adding, "I was aiming to make an album that sat squarely in the uncanny valley." The album is a zany trip - dark and dense and rife with the Vaudevillian flair Terry's fans have come to expect. Jordan Martin and Mark Lucas will open Tuesday's release party.
