The concept's already popular in Europe and several U.S. cities, and the couple behind the local launch has high hopes that the green party vehicle will catch on in Columbus.

Co-owner Dayna Wymer shared about rolling out the craziest bike in town.

My husband and I saw the b ar-bike concept in Minneapolis. My sister-in-law told us about this bachelorette party that she just went on. She pulled up a video on YouTube, and Dusty and I were like, "That is so cool." We went up a month later for his job, and we booked a tour.

With the Cycle Tavern, y ou hop on , and everybody pedals to each destination. If you're not pedaling, you're not moving. We provide the sober driver, who brakes and steers it. Legally you can't drink on it. But the bars are so close together in the Short North and Arena District. You won't even be able to finish a beer before you get to your next stop.

It's so intriguing when you see the bike . People are in shock and awe. When we took it out, everybody's smartphones were out taking pictures and videos. People were clapping, cheering and honking their horns. People are just so curious.

Buying one took a lot of convincing on my husband's part. I was like, "How are we going to do this? What if it doesn't take off?" You take a risk, and you hope you get a lot of reward out of it. Even in the cities where you can't drink on it, within the first year the companies are buying their second bike.

The best advice I ever got from my parents was that you have to take risks with the things you do, or else you won't get to that next place in life.

Three things I can't live without are my family, my iPhone and pedicures.

Something people might not know about me is that I used to have a security blanket all through high school that I slept with. I let it go when I went to college.

I'm the kind of person who likes to have fun and enjoy life. And I own a bar-bike, so I better like to have fun, right?
