Just as people can go from ugly to attractive in the right light, sometimes underling emcees borrow some glow from whichever star they're lucky enough to orbit.

Kanye West protege CyHi the Prynce benefited from this phenomenon when he guested on "So Appalled" from West's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy." CyHi must have mustered every ounce of his talent to cough up a passable verse; without heavy hitters Kanye, Jay-Z and Pusha T applying pressure, his new mixtape "Royal Flush 2" is lyrically lax, despite his nonsensical claims otherwise: "I don't slack, that's a pair of pants/ This is country music, so let's square dance."

Even more infuriating than CyHi's wordplay is his delusional pride about it. He often accents his lines with a self-satisfied chuckle, as if he doesn't realize he just uttered the words "I'm a chipmunk like Alvin."

He'll be at Skully's this Friday. Bring a thesaurus.
