The Central Ohio Greenways project is in the process of linking much of the region via paved paths that run in and around its natural resources. This weekend, the plan takes a big step forward.

The Central Ohio Greenways project is in the process of linking much of the region via paved paths that run in and around its natural resources. This weekend, the plan takes a big step forward.

An 878-foot bridge over State Route 33 will close a gap in the Blacklick Greenway Trail and connect Three Creeks Metro Park with Pickerington Ponds Metro Park.

Walkers, joggers and cyclists will meet at 6 a.m. Saturday at the confluence area of Three Creeks for an inaugural ride across the new overpass. Participants can choose to head three miles to the bridge or a total of nine miles to Pickerington Ponds.
