The “Put a Bird on It” sketch on the Independent Film Channel’s show “Portlandia” poked fun at the indie design community trend of decorating everything — even other birds — with birds. If there were such a thing as “Columbusia,” our mantra would be to put an Ohio on it. Here’s a roundup of some of our new favorite products featuring the shape of the state. For what it’s worth, IFC, Ohios are way hipper than birds — unless you’re putting a cardinal on it.
