Staff Pick: Sigur Ros concert film at the Wexner Center

If any band merits an exquisitely beautiful concert movie, Sigur Ros is it. Judging from the trailer, “Inni” is just such a film, a paean to the band’s trademark orchestral whale-call in stark black-and-white cinematography that gleans more emotional resonance than even a dazzling color spectrum could. Director Vincent Morisset captured the epically moody Icelandic act on stage at London’s Alexandra Palace in 2008 in its final performance before going on hiatus. As the band seems set to emerge from its creative hibernation, “Inni” will screen at the Wexner Center next Wednesday.
