This cinnamon zinger was one of several cocktails in a recent Hubbard cocktail-naming contest. Take your favorite food that stars apple and cinnamon — muffins, cereal, oatmeal — and translate it to a very grown-up cocktail. It’s called the Housecat because it has plenty of me-ow.
The Housecat
1 ounce apple cider
1/2 ounce Fireball whiskey
1 1/2 ounce Oyo whiskey
1/4 ounce amber maple syrup
Thin apple slices for garnish
Mix ingredients with ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with apple.
