Industrious Columbus emcee Zero Star caps off his 2011 resurgence Friday with the release of full-length "Maybe I'm Joking, Maybe I'm Not" and the third installment of his Buggin' Out party. The Chozin-produced "Maybe" is more soulful and melodic than the jazzy EPs that preceded it, but lyrically Zero stays in the lane he's been navigating skillfully. And while it's hard to imagine anybody but stringent hip-hop classicists staying on board for 53 straight minutes of hook-free flexing, Zero makes the prospect more enticing with canny sports references ("Hater's out, now the new term is 'Skip Bayless'") and cultural critique ("Internet thugs gettin' rough in all caps").

Also on tap Friday: Trek Manifest, Dominique Larue and DJ Pos2.
