A typical BalletMet season is adventurous and dynamic, full of intrigue and surprise. Yet nothing tops the resident company's annual interpretation of "The Nutcracker," the classic Christmas tale set to music by Tchaikovsky. A cast of more than 100 dancers will take a stage that's decked with glorious sets, and the company's top veterans will handle lead roles. BalletMet's version is true to the original - but comes with an enhanced sense of humor and several clever twists.
