Here's how the night works. Doors open at 9 p.m. and, true to its title, bargoers are encouraged to bring a dish for a community potluck. Music starts at 10 p.m., but your average show this is not. The acts are composed of various members of local bands (check out the event's Facebook page for a full list of those participating). The 40-person deck shuffles until eight new lineups emerge. The new bands play one cover song and two originals.

Pay a $5 cover and you might see the next Psandwich - the psych rock favorite began at a prior Rock Potluck. Thank you, Rock Potluck idea men, Bobby Miller and Shane Sweeney.

Now. Who's going to shell out and bring lobster? Rock lobster!
