As a member of Pica Huss and Econothugs, Mark Farmiloe, a.k.a. Loopus, was a major player in the 1990s High Street rock scene. Farmiloe's death last fall sent his old friends reeling, but it also pulled them together and rekindled their sense of community, inspiring a series of reunion concerts dubbed Rock and Roll High School Reunion. The first of six installments goes down Saturday, featuring Stupid F---ing Hippie, Flipping Hades, a Gaunt tribute, a Farmiloe-less Econothugs and a New Bomb Turks/Action Family combo called New Bomb Tutti. Besides benefiting Farmiloe's family, it's the latest (and perhaps greatest) window into Columbus punk's much-mythologized salad days.
