On Friday night the back wall of Feverhead, the multidisciplinary arts space in Grandview, will be transformed into a projection screen for “Nereid,” itself a multidisciplinary creation. The nine-minute abstract film by Keida Mascaro features the silhouettes of three local dancers who are seemingly performing underwater. Their movements are accompanied by haunting soundscapes created by Michael Lachowyn, who layered segments of audio he recorded while visiting caves in Iceland.
“It completely blows the video out into different dimensions,” Mascaro said of the ambient sounds.
The film will be played on a loop, so those curious can stop in any time during the evening. Admission is $3.
