Local broadcasting legend Fritz the Nite Owl returns this weekend with the premiere of Season 2 of Nite Owl Theatre, a monthly old terror movie screening that features vintage commercials and Fritz-tastic trivia-filled segments directed by Mike McGraner.

Season 2 starts Friday with “Spider Baby,” a 1968 creep-filled comedy turned cult classic about cannibalistic, mansion-dwelling kids. Saturday’s film is “Hercules” starring Steve Reeves, your grandma’s Arnold.

As always, Fritz will sign autographs and share as many stories as visitors wish to hear. New this season: Admission is $5 (worth it), and the event has moved from Grandview Theatre to Studio 35 in Clintonville.
