Preview: Anthrax at the LC

Anthrax is the least mythologized of thrash metal’s “big four,” and guitarist Scott Ian’s power goatee is definitely their most iconic image.

Nonetheless, they racked up a considerable legacy with Joey Belladonna on the mic. So although “Worship Music,” the NYC thrashers’ first album with Belladonna in more than two decades, is not on the level of David Lee Roth rejoining Van Halen, it’s still a big deal.

That classic lineup, sounding straight out of the Reagan era, will thrash the LC this Friday with Testament and Death Angel.
