As of last Friday, Jen and Dylan Batt have seven tattoos together.
Their ink includes strawberries to represent a birthmark on their daughter, a cartoon from “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” and their latest addition to celebrate Dylan’s 28th birthday — a big toe in reference to the polished severed appendage from “The Big Lebowski.”
But that doesn’t mean the pair thinks couples that tattoo together stay together.
“I’d almost recommend against it for most people,” Dylan said. “Make sure you love them.”
Getting tattoos on anniversaries and birthdays has become a Batt family tradition. The more personal they are the better, said Jen, citing a time the two were eating at Dirty Frank’s and saw art on the wall of dancing hamburgers; their next tattoo was of a dancing taco and burrito, their nicknames for each other.
“We are best friends,” Jen said. “We’ve always been on the same page, and it’s so much fun for us.”
