Staff Pick: Cool Planets and Hot Cocoa

By
From the February 23, 2012 edition

What more could you want on a February evening than giant orbs of burning gas and gratis cocoa? Nothing, you know down deep. Nothing at all.

Volunteer astronomer Jay Young will lead an indoor talk about stars and other celestial bodies on Friday evening at the Spring Hollow Lodge at Sharon Woods Metro Park. (Use the park’s West Main Street entrance.) After the presentation, the group will head outside and spot the real things. Young will have telescopes set up, though guests are welcome to bring their own.

Dress warmly and carpool if possible, because parking at the lodge is limited.
