Best Asian Restaurant: Nida’s Thai on High

From the March 29, 2012 edition

The experience at Nida’s is as much a treat for the eyes and nose as it is for the mouth. Take deep breaths of dishes and broths perfumed with lemongrass, chili peppers, garlic, coconut milk and ginger. See the vibrant sauces and vegetables in traditional Thai entrees and curries. Though Thai is the star of the show here, the menu also has treats for fans of Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine.

Customers are welcomed into a space that is serene and hip at the same time. Pillows encourage diners to linger comfortably on the long wooden booth along the restaurant’s north wall. Sidle up to the bar to sample the cocktail menu that strays happily into exotic flavors but stays firmly rooted in good mixology.
