Best Cheap Eats: Mikey’s Late Night Slice

From the March 29, 2012 edition

What began as a booze-fueled late-night brainstorming session has turned into a booze-fueled local success story. Observant Alive readers awarded this phenomenon’s efforts twice — in this category and in the Best Food Truck contest.

Running a Short North pedicab service, Mikey Sorboro and cohorts noticed a powerful need by tipsy customers for a decent slice of post-pub-crawl pizza — and a lack of places to get such a thing. Late Night Slice set up shop in a Short North food shed, and soon a star was born.
