If you can’t ignite a spark with your date over the fine wine and artfully plated food at the beautiful Refectory, you should probably get another date.
Start with the surroundings: The restaurant is housed in a former church, built around 18452, that features beautiful stained glass windows and exposed bricks and beams.
The food on your plate is some of the best in Columbus (readers said it by naming the Refectory the city’s best fine dining restaurant, too). And the wine list (another winner) ensures the mood isn’t the only intoxicating thing about the evening.
Runners-up: Basi Italia, G. Michael’s Bistro
