Staff Pick: Artiscape Artist’s Marketplace

From the April 12, 2012 edition

European Papers, a Downtown-based online paper arts studio that specializes in bookbinding, is hosting its 10th edition of Artiscape this weekend.

The artists’ retreat, as it’s billed, is a weekend convention with more than 45 instructional workshops in a variety of media, like calligraphy, metal and jewelry. Artiscape activities span the entire weekend, and ticketholders can partake in a bevy of additional activities, including a steampunk-themed welcoming party and an Outsider Art Fair (with work like that of Louisville artist Shari Replogle, pictured). Visit European Papers’ website for details.

The Artist’s Marketplace will be open to the public and won’t require a workshop ticket. For $5 entry, shop art supply vendors that come to Columbus from around the country for this event. Beads, papers, paints — you’ll find it all here.
