By
From the May 10, 2012 edition

Actor Johnny Depp and director Tim Burton are cinematic peanut butter and jelly. This weekend’s “Dark Shadows” — a comedic take on the 1970s vampire series — marks the eighth film the two have collaborated on.

Burton, the wonderful and weird auteur that he is, has pretty much made Depp his alter ego, especially in recent years. As we look back on Depp’s characters in Burton films, let’s see just how quirky they can be.
