Things We Love: A Minor League Season

I used to think the only thing that could make minor league baseball interesting was a multimillion-dollar stadium like Huntington Park. Turns out there are plenty of great stories to be found in the farm system. Just ask my pals from Cleveland, Matt and Carolyn LaWell, who are visiting every minor league ballpark in the country this summer for a project called A Minor League Season. They’re blogging about their trip at aminorleagueseason.com with the goal of publishing a book when all is said and done. It’ll be a good one; they’re quite good at finding the common humanity in subjects that could literally deteriorate into “inside baseball.”
